My wife and I spent our honeymoon in beautiful Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at Las Ventanas al Paraiso - "the window to paradise" - and it was very much an idyllic experience for us both.

We could not get a direct flight into Cabo so we had to spend a night in San Diego and if we were going to stay in San Diego we were going to do it right so we reserved a room at the Hotel Del Coronado. We had a great room overlooking the Pacific.

We arrived at Las Ventanas the next day and spent the ensuing week being spoiled by the wonderful staff at the hotel. We ate dinners overlooking the Sea of Cortez, went swimming in a pool that was unlike anything I had ever seen and received daily massages from their world class spa.

In the middle of the week we decided we need to actually leave the resort which was hard to do! However, we wanted to explore the two cities in the area - Los Cabos and San Jose Del Cabo. We had a great time strolling through the cities including a stop at the famous Cabo Wabo Cantina.

Cabo is also known for marlin fishing and for its golf courses. I didn't go fishing but we did go play golf at Cabo Del Sol, which was built by Jack Nicklaus in 1994 and he calls the finishing 3 holes the "finest in all of golf." My wife rode in the cart and experienced the beauty of the course with me.

All in all, this was a "once in a lifetime" trip. We will always have incredible memories of Cabo, Las Ventanas and our first week together as newlywed couple! We can't wait to go back someday and experience these great memories again.
