Since my wife and I are pretty much the adventurous type I decided to plan a honeymoon that would allow us to take advantage of our wild side - go somewhere that offered an exploratory yet serene place to relax. After doing tons of research I came across this small island in Thailand called Krabi island.
Krabi is in the southern province on Thailand's Andaman seaboard. Krabi offers elephant trekking, tiger cave temple (Wat Tham Seua). My wife and I climbed to the temple on top, ridiculous! We also took the island tour and did a little snorkeling and sun bathing. We even stumbled upon a cool night club – the @rt Café it’s a cool cocktail bar with Happy Hour - Holla! Oh and I can’t forget the Prutiew Hot Springs. In the south of Krabi in a town near the Khao Nor Chu Chi forest you can relax in one of nature's own hot-tubs!! We spent half a day here after a few days of climbing this was just what we needed. There is something for everyone here it is the BOMB!! And if you’re wondering about the food, it is awesome! We ate at the “Orchid Garden” and “Ruen Mai” for lunch and dinner both are pretty popular but you can’t go wrong, the food is incredibly cheap and incredibly tasty!!! Oh you must try the Banana Milkshakes, I don’t know what it is but they can shake a banana like no other for real!!
We enjoyed everything about Thailand; it’s pretty much a huge playground for adults full of dense rainforest's, exotic animals and amazing islands, and great food. Though getting to Thailand can be a bit costly once you are there the dollar goes a long way so the cost of the airfare is more than worth it. Check your travel dates though, we went in November the cool season - be sure not to travel during the monsoon season you are likely to get rained out!
**An added bonus: The road to Thailand is a long one but Krabi International Airport has opened and both Thai Airways Int'l and PB Air are operating direct flights from Bangkok which made our travel there a little easier. Whatever the case this was the best vacation fo sho!!
