Stefanie was at school student teaching, when she got a text from Steven. It said that something was wrong with his car, and asked her to call when she got off work. As soon as class ended, Stefanie called and Steven told her he was Cornerstone church. She headed off to pick him up, and on her way got lost. When she tried to call him back, he wouldn't answer! Eventually, he called her back and told her where the church was.

As Stefanie drove up to the church, she saw two of Steven's friends standing in the parking lot. She got out of the car and they handed her a rose and a card. It Read:

OK, i'll be honest...My car didn't break down and obviously i'm not here. You're probably wondering what the heck is going on and why I made you come to an abandoned church. There's actually a story to answer those questions. Nearly three years ago I was in this church listening to Sycamore practicce. I got a phone call and walked outside to answer it. Little did I know, standing in this very parking lot, I was talking to the girl I would soon fall in love with and spend the next three years of my life getting to know.
We're just getting started here. It's only fitting that we take this to the first place we met which also happens to be where I picked you up for our first date. I'm really glad you didn't roll down my windows that night! I love you so much! Hurry!!!!

She jumped in her car and started driving to the next destination. When she got there, her best friend Jess was waiting with another rose and card. This card said:

I remember the night Matt and I first came to this house to visit Leslie. It seems so weird now. You and I met and hung out for just a little while and I went home and checked out your facebook profile as soon as we left. It was three months later that I came across pictures of you and your friends. I remember telling Shawn, This girl is hot, I'm gonna ask her out on a date. After some awkward messages to Leslie, I finally got your number and we met back at this house for our first date. I was so nervous!

Some of my favorite memories that i'll have forever are the times we spent together on campus. Meeting after class and for lunch and playing in the practice rooms. But there's really only one place on campus that that will always be our spot. It's where we first kissed and the first place we said I love you.

Of course Stefanie knew what place she was headed next. The Spoon holder! Legend at OU says that if you have your first kiss in the Spoon holder, you will be married.

Did you know it's been said, if a couple shares a kiss in the spoon holder they will get married? Crazy huh? I've always thought this would be the perfect location. I mean, two of the biggest steps in our relationship happened right here. Well, I'm pretty sure I've found a better spot. I can't wait to show it to you! You don't have to worry about your lesson or anything tonight babe. Everything has been taken care of. Jess will take over the driving from here so just sit back and relax. You deserve it! I love you!

They drove to I-35 and headed south. Jess drove and drove and drove and drove, and finally ended up in Dallas. Jess pulled into the restaurant BJ's and said they were meeting someone. Stef was thinking it surely wasn't Steven, but didn't know who it would be. Then her friend Leslie walked out! She was holding the final rose of the evening with the last letter. Stefanie opened the letter and read:

Well i've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is, you don't have class tomorrow and you get a well deserved fun night with the girls. The bad news is, we won't be seeing each other tonight. Have fun but get some rest, tomorrow is going to be a BIG day! I love you so much!!!

With all of that behind them, they went back to Leslie's house and watched The Proposal. Finally, they were tired enough to go to bed, and in the morning brought Stefanie the last rose and letter. This one said:

Good morning babe! I hope you got plenty of rest last night. You're going to need a lot of energy for your trip! I can't wait to see you very soon!
Ok so here's how it's gonna go down. Jess will take you to the airport. You're plane leaves at 11:50 from the American Airlines terminal at DFW. When you arrive in NYC get your luggage together and everything, go to the baggage claim and call (212) 777-7777 or 1-800-777-8888 to get ahold of your driver. They'll probably tell you this....From the baggage claim level, walk outside the exit doors and cross the street to the passenger pick-up island. Wait on the island, in front of American, for your car number. Your driver will be holding a red Dial 7 sign with his car number on it.

Everything is paid for including the tip so don't worry about it.
Once you're in the car and on your way, call your mom for further instructions.

She got ready and Jess took her to the airport. She got on the airplane and after about 2 ½ hrs landed in NEW YORK CITY! She called the company that was picking her up, and when they got there, she got in the car and headed off to an unknown destination. Her mother had been given instructions to give Stefanie when she got in the car and she text those to her. Finally, the driver dropped Stefanie off, and she realized she was right in front of Central Park! She got out of the car and began following the directions. They led into the park, winding around the sidewalk, and down a flight of stairs that led past the beautiful Bethesda fountain. At the fountain, she followed a sidewalk to the left which led to Bow Bridge. As she neared the bridge, she saw Steven standing there waiting! He looked so handsome in his new coat and fresh haircut. When she reached him, they embraced and when they parted, Steven knelt down and asked the long awaited question, "Will you marry me?" Stefanie said, "YES!" Steven put the most beautiful ring ever on her finger.
